TL;DR: We only store what's strictly necessary to run the bot. We don't sell your data,
don't track you across the web, and you can request full deletion at any time.
1. Who We Are
GetPingd is a Discord notification bot operated by an individual developer. For full contact and legal
details, see our Imprint.
2. What Data We Collect
When you log in via Discord OAuth2:
- Your Discord user ID, username, and avatar URL
- A temporary OAuth access token (used solely to fetch the list of servers you manage — never stored
long-term)
When you configure subscriptions:
- The Discord server (guild) ID and name
- The Discord channel ID you choose for notifications
- The creator username and platform (e.g. "mistr_kebab" on Twitch)
- Any custom embed settings you configure (title, message, color)
Notification logs: We store a log per server including the notification timestamp, creator
name, stream title, and delivery status (sent or failed). These are displayed in your dashboard.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not read your Discord messages
- We do not store your email address by default (unless you specifically provide it for a data request)
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking scripts
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers
- We do not track you across other websites

5. Cookies
GetPingd uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie to keep you logged into the dashboard. This cookie
is:
- HttpOnly — not accessible via JavaScript
- Secure — only sent over HTTPS
- Expires after 7 days
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any tracking technologies. The session cookie is
essential for the service to function and does not require your separate consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
6. Legal Basis (GDPR)
We process your data on the following legal bases under GDPR:
- Art. 6(1)(b) — Contract performance: Processing your Discord account data and
subscription settings is necessary to provide the notification service you requested.
- Art. 6(1)(f) — Legitimate interest: Storing notification logs to display your server's
history in the dashboard.
7. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored in a private SQLite database on a dedicated server hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH
(Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany — European Union). Hetzner is certified under ISO 27001 and complies with GDPR.
All connections to getpingd.xyz are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Session tokens are cryptographically signed and
expire after 7 days.
Your data never leaves the EU.
8. Third-Party Services
GetPingd interacts with the following external services:
- Discord — For OAuth login and sending notifications. Subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
- Twitch — Public stream status API. No personal data is sent to Twitch.
- YouTube — Public Data API and RSS feeds. No personal data is sent to YouTube.
- Kick — Public channel API. No personal data is sent to Kick.
- Resend (Resend Labs Inc.) — We use Resend to deliver transactional emails (like your
requested data exports) if you provide an email address. They process your email and the data bundle for
delivery purposes. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — We use Cloudflare as a reverse proxy, CDN, and DDoS protection
layer. All traffic to getpingd.xyz passes through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare may process your IP
address and request metadata as part of their service. Cloudflare is a registered data processor under
GDPR. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Used to load our website font (Poppins). Your browser connects to
Google's servers when loading our pages. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as you have an active subscription or until you request deletion.
Notification logs older than 90 days may be automatically purged to save storage.
10. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Right of access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — Request full deletion of your account data (user record,
subscriptions, notification logs)
- Right to restriction — Request that we limit processing of your data
- Right to data portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object — Object to processing based on legitimate interest
To exercise any of these rights, you can use the automated tools in your Account Settings (to request data or delete your account with one
click), or contact us at [email protected]. We
will
respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Germany: BfDI).
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be available at this URL
with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated
policy.
